Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info

If you live in California (CCPA/CPRA), or in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, you can require that your personal information not be sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page sets out how to exercise that right with Planwithjoy.
After You Opt Out
The change is to targeting alone: identifiers stop being shared, and any ads shown become generic. Site access is completely unaffected, and no reader is penalised for opting out.
The Practice in Question
To be precise about what is and is not happening: Planwithjoy does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, where advertising is displayed on planwithjoy.com, advertising identifiers may be shared with ad partners, and state law may classify that as a ‘sale’ or as ‘sharing’. We therefore make the opt-out available rather than rely on a narrow reading. This applies to everyone reading our coverage of Planwithjoy on planwithjoy.com, whether or not you have ever subscribed or commented.
How to Exercise This Right
Easiest first: switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser settings or via an extension — it is detected and honoured on every page load, automatically. Failing that, use the cookie banner where shown, or email hello@planwithjoy.com, subject line ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We never require an account to process an opt-out.
This is one right among several; the rest are in our State Privacy Notice.
